Ante Natal


Ante Natal personal training for pregnant women, safe, gentle toning and cardiovascular exercises specific to the needs of mum plus bump. Incorporates gentle stretches to alleviate the aches and pains sometimes experienced in pregnancy. Mobility exercises to aid circulation, particularly in ankles and wrists. Intensity / choice of exercises would depend on mum's activity levels prior to conception.


Appropriate exercise whilst pregnant can provide the following benefits:

Faster post natal recovery

Improved sleep

Reduction of pregnancy symptoms (constipation, varicose veins and leg cramps)


The benefits listed above can also be enjoyed through other excellent forms of low impact exercise such as walking and swimming.

Post Natal


Having a baby is a joyous occasion and nothing is more important than your precious new bundle. Whilst enjoying this exciting new phase in your life, a lack of energy and regaining your pre-pregnancy figure can be a worry for some women.


The Yummy Mummy Post Natal package can be just the tonic to help you shape up, regain some control over your abs and pelvic floor and generally getting you sparkling with yummy mumminess!


On a more serious note, the well-being and self confidence of our new mums is paramount. The intensity of the exercise will very much depend upon your level of fitness prior to pregnancy, how active you were during pregnancy and most importantly how you feel on the day of your training.


As personal training can take place in your home, we can try to schedule sessions around baby´s sleep time or alternatively, they can be nearby. There is no pressure if you need to change, feed or attend to baby. As your training advances (and hopefully if the weather is kind) we will gradually progress to the great outdoors, incorporating the best exercise resistance machine we have to hand – the pram!


All programmes are safe, effective and unique to your needs, taking into account the physiological changes that take place during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding.


The safest way to achieve sustainable weight loss and toning following the birth of a baby is with sensible frequent exercise, healthy regular eating, lots of fluids and plenty of fresh air. Walking is a fabulous fat burner and excellent for the health and well being of baby and mum.


Post Natal Classes


We also run a post natal exercise course for mum and baby of between 6–10 participants. The classes run in a course of 6 weeks, 1 class per week. This can be a great way of meeting other mums and is suitable once you have had your check up and been given the ok to exercise.


Classes focus on realigning posture, working your pelvic floor and core stability muscles and safely working the abs. The classes start gentle and progress week by week enabling you to return to formal exercise by the end of the course. Throughout the classes there will be lots of tips on healthy eating, exercises to do at home and ways to increase energy and survive sleep deprivation without resorting to caffeine and chocolate. The course cost includes a Penelope Fitstop nutrition and exercise diary, printed exercise sheets and other goodies.
